Ever wonder what the Grandchild of Christ thinks of the ABC hit series "Lost"?

No? Well I'm going to tell you anyway.  See, it all started like this...

Before the premier of the third season of "Lost", I was having a conversation with a friend of mine who was gracious enough to let my best friend and me watch the show at his house.  The conversation was, of course, regarding various theories about "what's really going on" on the island.  I confessed that I found most of the ideas that people put forth to be overly complicated.  I then told him what I observed about the show.  To illustrate my observations I alluded to various concepts such as the Skinner Box and the I-Ching.  While I regarded (and still regard) my points to be simple perceptions of what the show had fairly obviously revealed, my friend insisted that my ideas reflected a unique perspective.  He was even more convinced of this when a Skinner Box actually showed up in the season premier, just moments after we'd been talking about it.  So he encouraged me to record and post my observations.

I'm not going to scour the web to see if someone has posted these ideas already, so to any of you who would like to claim you've said all of this before I preemptively yield to your superior authority on the matter.  I'm just throwing this out to the world on the advice of my friend.  You may take it or leave it.  And please understand that, for brevity's sake, I refer to concepts in the most simplistic terms.

Also please note that I have no television on which to watch "Lost".  Until my friend invited me to watch season 3 on his television, I'd only seen the show on DVD.  Thus, my entire experience with "Lost" (in the first two seasons, anyway) involved watching several episodes at once, commercial and promo free.  Also, I don't read forums about the show or visit websites released by the show's creators, nor do I watch special features or commentaries, as I prefer to experience the program on its own.  Since all of what follows (except the update) is pre-third-season speculation (plus supporting points after watching just the third season premier), please keep in mind that my perspective is based solely upon watching the DVD episodes in large, uninterrupted chunks.  (Since watching with my friend, I've been impressed with how commercials and promos can even effect how one watches the show, so perhaps my friend was correct in thinking that my experience with "Lost" is unique when compared to others.)

If you haven't watched all of season one, two, or all of season three up to the mid-season break, then please let this serve as your spoiler warning.

If you're still interested in reading my observations, please be so kind as to click here.  I may update it as the show continues.
