This archetype represents a person who is very good at discerning, following, and enforcing the rules. It’s important to note that for this particular archetype the rule-givers are ultimately unimportant. It is the law itself that rules supreme.

When this archetype is invoked, the focus on Law is marked by an increase in mistrust. This can be problematic in certain contexts where it is dangerous to cling to rules at the expense of others. (Turning one’s Jewish neighbors over to the SS was the lawful thing to do in Nazi Germany, but obviously not the right thing to do. An extreme example, perhaps, but more applicable to modern problems than many care to admit.)

If you are dissatisfied with the dominance of this archetype in your life, you should make an effort to embrace those who hold views different from your own and increase your perception of the value of others vs. the value of the law.
