Insight regarding Richard?

Lost
It appears as though repeated trips through the island's "EM Bubble" cause travelers to "lose time". Sayid, for example, now lives in a world several hours older while he's only aged several minutes. Has Richard in effect halted his aging by frequently traveling from-and-to the island?

Well, yeah, presumably Ben travels back and forth a lot also, but... who knows?
No, I've never really liked the "immortal Richard" idea. I was the one who suggested that maybe the man we see greeting young Ben was actually Richard's father.
