Discovery may lead to treatments for autism and mental retardation

I heard this story coming into work this morning.  One thing that I found very cool which isn't mentioned in the text summary is that the family who began the foundation funding the research were inspired by having seen the movie "Lorenzo's Oil."  Treatment for Autism
