New Discoveries Regarding "El Dorado"

I thought this was an exciting article 'cause it had some findings about ancient civilizations in the Amazon that overturn previously held beliefs.  Primarily that Native Americans did not have a civilization as extensive as the ones often cited at the origins of "Western Civilization."  Also, it possibly contradicts the idea of "environmental determinism" (which I think is behind some of Jared Diamond's work).  And then--very cool and leading to all kinds of new questions--the idea that Native American habitation of the New World might be twice as old as previously thought and didn't originate with the crossing of people over the Bering Strait region.
